The Montana Site Selector service provides a reliable source for connecting business owners with available properties and statistical analysis of the surrounding area. Whether you are looking to open your business in Montana or to expand an existing business, the Montana Site Selector service assists you in your search.
To begin your search from the Search Properties tab enter an address, city or address, zip code and click the search icon. The results will be displayed in the Search Results section located at the bottom of the screen. Click an address in the Search Results screen for detailed property information. Your search must be formatted as follows:
Street, City (e.g. 123 Main St, Helena)
Street, Zip (e.g. Helena, 59601)
City (e.g. Helena)
Zip Code (e.g. 59601)
Properties must be located within the state of Montana. Additionally, any search that contains a zip code must include a valid Montana zip code.
The Advanced Search allows for further filtering of properties to narrow down the scope of your search. To select multiple site types, cities, or counties you can hold the Ctrl button and your left mouse click for any combination of a selection.
To search all properties in the Advanced Search, select Either under Listing Type and cick the Search button.
Print Search Results
Search Results located at the bottom of the mapping screen can be exported to either PDF or CSV format. Simply check the box next to the properties, or check the Select All box, to select your properties. Click the radio button for the report format of your choice which is either PDF or CSV, and then click the PDF or CSV export button. The result of the export will be the listing properties in a printable format.
The Map Layers tabs will give you a wider perspective of the property and surrounding area. Each layer can be displayed individually or combined with other layers as you tailor your map. You can select any combination of map layers and/or Community Data; to turn on or off a layer simply check the box or uncheck the box next to the layer(s).
Note that you may need to use the zoom tools to zoom into a particular area to see the applied map layer. If you are zoomed all the way out on the map it may appear that some layers are not turned on when they have been selected. Simply use the map zoom tools to zoom in + or zoom out - located in the top right of the screen.
The Generate Reports tab will allow you to see census and demographic information about the citizens that live in a particular area. Reports can be generated by address, map point, polygon, city, or county for the state of Montana.
Zoom into your area of interest on the map and run a report by selecting any combination of items under the Site Analysis Report section. Select a specific Report Type from the drop-down list, the format of the report, and then select By Address, By Map Point, By Polygon, By City, or By County and then click the Run Report button.
