One intern will be hired from this posting and will work at the Yellowstone Airport.
The work schedule will be 40 hours a week during the summer. Interns do not receive benefits such as paid holidays, medical coverage, earned vacation, or sick leave.
Intern will spend 75% of internship working in airport operations and maintenance and 25% of internship working in airport administration.
Intern will be exposed to FAA Part 139 requirements, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Certification, TSR 1542 Security Requirements, Airport Maintenance functions, and Airport Management Practices including but not limited to: lease agreements, tenant relationships, FAA reporting requirements, training programs, budgets, consultant relations and functions, and public involvement and meetings.
Knowledge and skills required for this job will come from college level course work in Aviation Management Aeronautical Science, or similar aviation concentration.
Must be currently enrolled in College, University or Tech School; recent grads (no more than 6 months past graduation) can apply but note that preference will be given to applicants that are currently enrolled. Need to at least be entering Junior year or have completed at least 60 credit hours. If applicant is enrolled in a Tech School (2 year program) the credit minimum is 30 credit hours.
Acceptable majors are: Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or similar aviation concentration.
