Montana Alberta Tie LTD (MATL)

On October 22, 2008 the Department of Environmental Quality approved a Certificate of Compliance for the Montana Alberta Tie Ltd (MATL) 230 kV electric transmission line. The following map indicates the Approved Location which is generally 250 feet on either side of a referenced centerline. MATL will now work with individual landowners to finalize structure locations within this approved area. There are two areas described in the Certificate (Attachment 2, Appendix A) where the Approved Location differs from the above mentioned 500 foot width. They are north of the Teton River near a landslide and near Trunk Butte in an area of steep terrain.
