Victor Company Resolves Opencut Mining Violation
Helena -- The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) received a $3,960 administrative penalty in settlement of its enforcement action against T&T Contracting, Inc. of Victor for a violation of the Montana Opencut Mining Act at the Midway Colony Pit in Pondera County, Montana.
The DEQ issued a Notice of Violation and Administrative Penalty Order in August 2012, citing the company for conducting non-permitted opencut operations at the site. The order required T&T to pay a $3,960 administrative penalty to resolve the violation.
