Grizzly Bar Resolves Public Water Supply Violations
Helena --- The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has settled its administrative enforcement action against The Grizzly Restaurant of Roscoe, LLC for violations of the Montana Public Water Supply Laws at the public water supply system serving the Grizzly Bar located in Roscoe, Montana.
In its administrative order, DEQ alleged that Grizzly failed to monitor for nitrate during 2010 and 2011, and failed to collect a ground water source sample after a total coliform-positive sample in September 2011, as required by the PWSL.
To resolve the violations and return the public water supply system to compliance, Grizzly sampled for nitrate and paid a $374 administrative penalty.
For questions about the Public Water Supply Program and laws, please contact the Public Water Supply and Subdivisions Bureau at (406) 444-4400 or visit DEQ’s website at www.deq.mt.gov.
