California Trucking Company Resolves Hazardous Waste Transportation Violations
Helena --- The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) recently settled its administrative enforcement action against Rust and Sons Trucking, Inc., El Cajon California, for violations of the Montana Hazardous Waste Act that occurred from the transportation of hazardous waste from a Montana hazardous waste generator.
In its enforcement action, the DEQ alleged that the company had failed to properly complete a hazardous waste manifest to track the transportation of 6 drums of hazardous waste from Missoula to Kansas. To address the violations, DEQ issued an Administrative Order on Consent and an assessed $5,500 administrative penalty for the violations.
Rust and Sons paid the administrative penalty and DEQ closed the enforcement case.
