Helena – The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has received an application from ES Stone and Structure, Inc. to amend their Operating Permit to add an additional site. The site would be located on private land about two miles south of Harlowton in Wheatland County.

The current permit covers 2,654 acres, of which ES Stone is authorized to disturb 500 acres at any one time. If amended, the permit would add 160 acres for a total permitted area of 2,814 acres. The permit would allow 1,500 acres total to be disturbed over the life of mines at all sites.
