DEQ Accepting Public Comments on New Underground Storage Tank Facility in Bozeman
(Helena) The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Underground Storage Tank Program, has prepared an Environmental Assessment for a proposed underground storage tank facility. This installation will be at the Town Pump Bozeman #7 located at 1871 Baxter Lane in Bozeman, Montana
This project involves installing five double-walled underground storage tanks and associated underground piping. The tanks will be used for the storage of gasoline, #1, #2 and red-dyed diesel fuel.
The DEQ prepares environmental assessments to inform interested government agencies, public groups, or individuals of a proposed action and to determine whether or not the action may have a significant effect on the human or natural environment.
The Environmental Assessment for this project is published at http://www.deq.mt.gov/ea.mcpx. Public comments will be accepted until May 4, 2012. Comments must be in writing and can be e-mailed to email@example.com or mailed to DEQ Underground Storage Tank Program at P.O. Box 200901, Helena, MT, 59620-0901. Following the comment period the DEQ will determine what actions to take regarding this permit application.
