Billings Company Resolves Mining Violation
Helena --The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a $14,025 administrative penalty in settlement of its enforcement action against C & S Construction, Inc. of Billings for a violation of the Montana Opencut Mining Act at the Pease Ranch in Richland County, Montana.
In February 2012, DEQ and C&S entered into an Administrative Order on Consent citing C & S for conducting opencut operations without a permit and assessed a $14,025 administrative penalty to resolve the violation.
